Established by the Working Group in 2001, The Noxious Exotic Weed Task Team (NEWTT) is made up of government representatives from federal, state, local, and Indian Tribal organizations. The purpose of the NEWTT is to coordinate the implementation of the Working Group Assessment and Strategic Plan for managing invasive exotic plants in South Florida. This includes the development of an Implementation Plan, a Science Plan, coordinated multi-agency budget, calendar for accomplishment of goals, and completion of the steps and actions identified in the Invasive Exotic Strategic Plan.
